VAICACAO is gently roasted, ground to a paste in a stone mill and then formed into blocks. We invite you to enjoy our cacao with others in a ceremonial context or to integrate it into your individual practice.
Origin:
The beans for this cacao come from the rainforests of Guatemala, where FEDECOVERA - an association of Qʼeqchiʼ and Pocomchi farmers - works to improve their living conditions while protecting their culture and ecosystem.
Preparation:
Chop the cacao and dissolve in hot (not boiling) water. Add spices (ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cayenne pepper) and sweeteners (honey, dates, coconut blossom sugar) to taste. Whisk by hand or use a blender to create a foamy, creamy texture.
Recommended amount:
Doctors and nutrition experts recommend 10-15g for daily use. A ceremonial dose is traditionally 30-42g, but consuming such a large amount more than once a week is not recommended.
