For us, cacao is more than just a drink. It is a sacred plant, a superfood, a pleasure and it promotes health. As the only producer of handcrafted Ceremonial Cacao on Sardinia, we offer you a premium quality product for ceremony and health. We use only beans from our own finca and from small plantations in Central America and prepare them in our small factory in Olbia, a small town on the Emerald Coast of the Italian island of Sardinia in the Mediterranean.

We take care to maintain an excellent flavor profile that allows the uniqueness of each bean to be tasted. Gently ground and prepared
In our online shop you will find six different cacaos that differ in the type of beans used and the region of origin. They all have the high quality and careful production in common. Our Ceremonial Cacao is made from gently roasted fairtrade cacao beans, which re ground into a paste in a stone mill in our factory in Sardinia and then formed into blocks. Depending on which finca in Central America the beans come from, a different incomparable taste experience unfolds after preparation.
Modeled after indigenous communities
With the intense chocolaty and fruity aroma, VAICACAO is also a valuable component of your whole foods and a real superfood. With the minimal processing of Fairtrade cacao, we are guided by the way the indigenous communities of Mesoamerica set an example for us. The carefully fermented beans are only lightly roasted before being stone ground for a raw, unadulterated texture. We do not add any sugar or preservatives at all. This gives you the certainty that with VAICACAO you are getting an absolutely natural product that is not only cultivated sustainably, but also takes ethical aspects into account and contains only the best ingredients.
What is "Ceremonial Cacao"?
Indigenous peoples have known for a long time that the cocoa bean is a superfood. In Central America, it has been used medicinally and for rituals and ceremonies for thousands of years. People regarded the plant as a sacred plant that connects the earthly and spiritual worlds. In our world, too, the power of the plant has been rediscovered and cocoa has become the focus of modern and personal ceremonies. The pure form of the product is important, which is why VAICACAO is called "ceremonial" due to the traditional cultivation method and minimal processing.
