VAICACAO is gently roasted, ground to a paste in a stone mill and then formed into blocks. We invite you to enjoy our cacao with others in a ceremonial context or to integrate it into your individual practice.
The beans for this cacao come from Hacienda La Carrera, one of the oldest and largest cacao growing areas in El Salvador. The plantation is adjacent to the mangroves of Jiquilisco Bay on the southeastern Pacific coast of El Salvador, a region known for its biodiversity and beautiful landscapes.
Chop the cacao and dissolve in hot (not boiling) water. Add spices (ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cayenne pepper) and sweeteners (honey, dates, coconut blossom sugar) to taste. Whisk by hand or use a blender to create a foamy, creamy texture.
Doctors and nutrition experts recommend 10-15g for daily use. A ceremonial dose is traditionally 30-42g, but consuming such a large amount more than once a week is not recommended.
