VAICACAO is gently roasted, ground to a paste in a stone mill and then formed into blocks. We invite you to enjoy our cacao with others in a ceremonial context or to integrate it into your individual practice.
Origin:
This precious, spicey, cacao comes from the region of Cunduacán, in the state of Tabasco. The project is coordinated by Alejandro, who founded Revival Cacao, a network of small cacao producers in the Chontalpa region, where ancestral cacao varieties typical of the Mesoamerican region are cultivated. The climate of this region, combined with the presence of four rivers and numerous lagoons, creates a perfect microclimate for the growth of this unique cacao.
Preparation:
Chop the cacao and dissolve in hot (not boiling) water. Add spices (ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cayenne pepper) and sweeteners (honey, dates, coconut blossom sugar) to taste. Whisk by hand or use a blender to create a foamy, creamy texture.
Recommended amount:
Doctors and nutrition experts recommend 10-15g for daily use. A ceremonial dose is traditionally 30-42g, but consuming such a large amount more than once a week is not recommended.
